Who I Am

“Show Me State Raised – Lone Star State Livin’!”

Born and raised in Southwest Missouri, where the Ozark Mountains were right out the back door, where Branson was the typical vacation and where driving behind a tractor was more comforting than annoying.

The area, community and culture in SWMO shaped a lot of who I am today, but I couldn’t help but notice I was a bit of an oddball out and how I got the idea for the name of my blog. I am inspired by everything Southwestern and the Old West as Well as bright colored handmade goods from Mexico. History, specifically Native American history, handmade goods such as leatherwork, silversmithing and all things turquoise are my vibe. I have my own style when it comes to fashion, home decor and architecture that is far different from where I was raised. Oklahoma where I lived for a short spell holds a huge chunk of my heart. After moving around Texas I’m finally settling in where I’ve always wanted to be, in the Fort Worth area. Texas has been “home” since before it was actually home and I couldn’t be more excited to see what’s to come from moving here.

I started this blog to inspire others to grasp their weirdness and be proud of the unique things that make them who they are. Hopefully y’all can find humor, inspiration and gobs of positivity in my posts.
